Run club in Ambleside
Ambleside AC is a fell running club based in Ambleside in the Lake District, formed in 1983 and now with over 300 senior members. It describes itself as informal and friendly, with training, racing and socialising, and men's and women's teams competing on the fells throughout the year. Organised training runs and social runs take place on various evenings and daytimes depending on the time of year, and the club also organises around 12 fell races each year.
Training sessions vary through the year and are listed on the club's training pages and a Teamup calendar (https://teamup.com/ks3n6ji76gho4d4qnv); newcomers can get in touch or look at the training schedule and turn up. There is a seniors' Tuesday evening training session and Tuesday/Friday daytime runs, each with their own FAQs page. Senior membership costs ยฃ10 per year, and is free for those in full-time education, those aged 23 or under on 1 January, and regular volunteers at junior sessions; subs are payable in January and membership is handled through SI Entries.
