Winchester Running Club — a run club in Winchester. England Athletics affiliated club. Activities: cross country, hill fell, race walking, road running, trail running.
Senior and masters sessions start at 19:00 on Tuesday and Thursday at South Park and Ride, with venues changing seasonally (changes posted on the club app or WhatsApp group); no booking is needed. Training is designed in partnership with RunningWithUs and led by qualified run leaders and coaches, including UKA Level 4 endurance coach Nick Anderson. Members also organise long Sunday runs between themselves, plus events such as Magic Mile and Pizza, a winter talks series, the Christmas Relay and party. Prospective members register by email on the join page at no cost and can attend up to three sessions before deciding. For 2026/27 full membership is £66 a year, students in full-time education paying their own fees £49.50, and social or out-of-region membership £22, with England Athletics affiliation a further £23 a year where competition access is included (payable to one club only). Fees are pro-rated for mid-year joiners and the membership year runs 1 April to 31 March. Membership includes unlimited training, free entry to CC6, RR10 and Hampshire Cross Country League events, the RunClub HQ app, WhatsApp community and Strava group. Bring trainers, water and layers; spikes or off-road shoes are useful for sessions at Gaterfield. The club is affiliated to England Athletics (club number 33386) and has a named welfare officer.
