Run club in Sydney
UTS Northern Suburbs Athletics Club is a Sydney athletics club formed in 1927 and based at Rotary Athletics Field, Chatswood West, since 1965. It welcomes athletes from 12 to 90 years of age and all levels of ability, from beginners to experienced competitors, across sprints, jumps, throws and distance running. Training takes place at the club's grass track facility, which is being redeveloped with a synthetic infield track and runways, and members compete in interclub and state-level competition.
The club covers all athletics disciplines - sprints, hurdles, jumps, throws and middle/long distance running - and is supported by a team of accredited coaches, including coaches specialising in middle and long distance. Athletes are asked to contact the relevant coach directly to discuss squad availability, training times, coaching fees and suitability for their event group; coach and club contact details are on the club website. Club training sessions are held on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings at Rotary Athletics Field, with field bookings also listed on Sunday mornings. Members compete in interclub competition such as the Treloar Shield and the NSW State Relay Championships, with Open, 35-49 and 50+ divisions. Registration and uniform details are handled through the website, and eligible members have free access to the gymnasium in the Rotary Athletics Field clubhouse. NSW Athletics affiliated club.
