Run club in District of Belconnen
North Canberra-Gungahlin Athletics Club (NCGA) is a track and field athletics club in the ACT, founded in 1956 and affiliated with Capital Athletics and Australian Athletics. It caters for athletes from about 10 or 11 years through to Open and Masters age, facilitating coaching and competition rather than social group runs. Running events covered include sprints, hurdles, middle distance, long distance (5,000m and 10,000m), steeplechase and race walks, alongside field and multi-events.
Membership runs on a 2026-2027 season basis and is open to new and returning members via the club's online registration system (link on the club website). To compete at Capital Athletics events, athletes must be a member of an affiliated club such as NCGA. Members can compete in Athletics ACT/Capital Athletics summer and winter competition across sprints, hurdles, middle distance (800m, 1500m, 3000m), long distance (5,000m and 10,000m), steeplechase, race walks, jumps, throws and multi-events. Masters athletes from age 30 may register in the open age category, using age-appropriate standards, and can also compete with ACT Masters over summer; the club states it hopes to establish a dual Masters membership through Capital Athletics. The club also seeks volunteers and technical officials. No weekly training timetable or venue is given in the website text; contact details are on the club website.
