Run club in Burton Upon Trent
Hatton Darts is a running club based in Burton upon Trent with 40 to 50 members, competing on road, cross country and track. It is a mixed-ability group of runners aged 18 and over with a strong social side. Tuesday club nights follow one route with regular round-ups so nobody is left behind, finishing together for a drink.
Tuesday is the main club night: in summer the group usually meets at a country pub outside Burton for an off-road run, and in winter at Shobnall Leisure Complex for runs on well-lit local roads. Thursday is a training night where members can take part in workouts to improve performance, and informal runs also take place on other days and at weekends, often in the Peak District and National Forest. Exact meeting times and locations are listed on the club's Diary page. The club competes in the Derby Runner Cross Country League and the Burton and District Summer League. Membership runs from 1 April to 31 March; fees for 2026/27 are ยฃ35 for club membership with England Athletics registration or ยฃ12 for club membership only, paid preferably by bank transfer or by cash/cheque to the Membership Secretary or Treasurer. To join, come along on a Tuesday evening (visitors may run a couple of times to try the club out), then download and complete the application form and email it to the Membership Secretary or hand it to a club officer at a Tuesday meeting. The club is on Facebook and Instagram and has a contact page for enquiries. England Athletics affiliated club.
