Dundee Roadrunners is a running club for adults of all ages and abilities, based in Dundee. It runs four sessions a week — trails, a social road run, coached reps and a Sunday long run — and members also take part in local and national road, trail and cross country races. Groups are split by pace and distance, with tail runners on the shorter Tuesday routes.
Weekly sessions are Monday trail runs (venues vary each week, posted on TeamApp; on the first and third Mondays of the month the group splits into an easier group of about 6 miles and a harder group with more terrain and elevation), Tuesday social runs with a choice of 4, 6 or 8 mile routes at paces typically 4:30–7:00 min/km, Thursday coached reps alternating between short reps, long reps and hill reps, and a Sunday long run of about 20km with faster and slower groups. Tuesday and Thursday meet at the rear of Dundee Students Union at 18:20 for an 18:30 start; on the first Tuesday of each month from May to September the meeting point is Clatto Park, and from October to March it is the Galaxy run at Wright Avenue, off Riverside Drive. Membership is £27 per year (£20 plus £7 Scottish Athletics fee), with a £10 discount for over 60s, students and unemployed; the membership year starts in mid-February at the AGM and sign-up is via EntryCentral. Members only (18 and over), though newcomers can join as a guest for a two-week trial by registering on the Stack TeamApp app (search Dundee Roadrunners). Members get access to club races and discounts at local running shops.
