Arbroath & District Athletics Club is an athletics club formed in 1978 that welcomes athletes from across the Angus area. It caters for all abilities, from first-time athletes to those with previous club experience, and offers the chance to compete at local, district and national level. Training takes place at Arbroath Sports Centre and the adjacent playing fields.
Training follows a standard schedule at Arbroath Sports Centre and on the playing fields at the rear of the building, with separate summer and winter timetables. Sessions for secondary school age and above run on Tuesdays and Thursdays (18:30–21:00 in summer, 18:45–21:00 in winter), and Saturdays 09:00–11:00 are open to all age groups. Fees are £3 per session, with a £1 discount for siblings. Athletes are asked to bring warm clothing, waterproofs and a drink; mobile phones and music players are not to be used during sessions. Prospective members can drop into Arbroath Sports Centre, Keptie Road, Arbroath at training times, apply through the join section of the website, or use the contact form.
