Tuesday runs start from behind The George Inn, Upper Denby (HD8 8UE); members are asked to arrive at 18:45 so groups can set off at 19:00, with road and off-road options and head torch and hi-viz needed on darker nights. There are no changing facilities, so members arrive ready to run. Some members also meet on Thursday evenings for more structured training and at weekends for longer runs, with arrangements shared through the members-only Denby Dale AC Seniors Facebook group. The club takes part in road, trail, fell and cross-country races, team relays such as the Barnsley Boundary Way and Calderdale Way, the West Yorkshire Cross Country league and Yorkshire veterans cross country, and runs its own Fell, Combined and Parkrun Social series. It is affiliated to England Athletics and Northern Athletics. Annual senior subscription is £33, payable on joining and on 1 April each year by bank transfer or in cash to Jon O'Hanlon, Membership Secretary and Treasurer; a senior membership form is on the website.
