Run club in Peel
Western Athletic Club is an Isle of Man athletics club formed in 1980 and based at Queen Elizabeth II High School in Peel. Members take part in track and field, race walking and road running, with cross country through the winter months, competing both on the Island and off it. The club also hosts a range of its own running events through the year and welcomes both experienced runners and newcomers.
The website does not list session days or times for adult training. Outdoor summer sessions are held on the Q.E.II Sports Fields, with indoor sessions at other times of year. Membership is renewed every April and includes UKA affiliation fees, which allows athletes to compete in the UK and be entered into the Power of 10 rankings; UKA membership is mandatory for anyone competing off the Island. A membership form (2025/26) and a welcome pack are available on the membership page. The club also asks for volunteers to marshal races or help at the summer league. The secretary is listed as Peter Callin and the chair as Claire Turner; the site lists UKA Level 1 and Level 2 club coaches. England Athletics affiliated club.
