Wallsend Rsl Athletic Club

Wallsend Athletics Club is a community track and field club based at Federal Park in Wallsend, New South Wales, open to athletes from age 3 through to seniors of any ability. The season runs from 14 September 2026 to 22 March 2027, with weekly Monday competition nights covering track and field events for all age groups. The club describes itself as family-friendly, with a focus on fun, confidence and personal achievement, and relies on parents and families helping with event tasks.

Competition is held on Monday evenings from 17:30 for all age groups, and registered athletes also get free club training every Thursday at 17:30 (17:00 during winter). The club operates through school holidays and public holidays, and wet weather decisions are posted on its Facebook page and website by 16:00 on Mondays. Registration is done online via the club website, and a registration pack pick-up and uniform night is held before the season starts; the uniform is a club shirt with black shorts or tights, with registration number and age patch required by Week 3. A parent or carer must stay on site for junior athletes. General committee and club meetings are held on the first Friday of each month (except January) at Diggers Sports Club, Wallsend, at 19:30, and all are welcome.
