Run club in Traralgon
Traralgon Harriers Athletic Club is a community athletics and running club in regional Victoria, founded in 1967, with over 150 members. It caters for walkers, social and recreational runners and competitive athletes of all ages and abilities. The core activity is the weekly Thursday night club run, supported by a winter calendar and a summer championship season of trail, hill and track events, plus weekend events including the Traralgon Marathon and Running Festival.
Thursday night runs are the main regular club activity and are open to members; new runners get two free runs before they are asked to join, as insurance cover requires membership. The club also fields individuals and teams in Athletics Victoria events, including the winter XCR (cross country/road) series over various distances, and runs a summer championship season on trail, hill and track courses. Membership is purchased through the Athletics Victoria website: join as a Recreational Runner for club events such as the Thursday night runs, or as an Athlete under an AVSL/Base/Max/XCR package to compete in Athletics Victoria competitions; AV memberships run from 7 April each year. Benefits include discounted entry to the Traralgon Marathon and Running Festival, free entry to minor events, a reflective winter running vest, monthly club dinners and other social events. A New Members Information Pack, a weekly newsletter sign-up and contact details are on the club website. Athletics Victoria athletics club.
