About

The Trail Track & Field Club is an athletics association in Trail, British Columbia, founded in 1919 and described on its site as the oldest athletics club in the province. It develops athletes across age groups, with a stream for high school, senior and masters athletes alongside junior programmes. Training is track and field based, held outdoors at Haley Park in the spring and summer and indoors at the Willi Krause fieldhouse over the winter.

The season splits into an indoor period from November to March, with practices twice a week at the Willi Krause fieldhouse open to all ages, and an outdoor period from April to August at Haley Park, where high school, senior and masters athletes (14 and over) train three times a week. There are no practices on holiday weekends, and sessions may be cancelled around competitions or in unsafe weather such as extreme temperatures, smoke or lightning. Members compete in BC Athletics track and field, cross country and road running meets through the season, and the club hosts the West Kootenay Legion Meet at Haley Park. Registration is through links on the club website, which also lists volunteer coach and board openings and an annual general meeting; contact details are on the club website. Athletics Canada affiliated club (via AthleticsReg; Cross Country).
