Tiverton Harriers is a running and athletics club in Tiverton, Devon, described as one of the oldest in the area. The senior section is for runners aged 18 and over and is a mixed-ability group, with Tuesday speed work and Thursday club runs of varying distances. All sessions are led by England Athletics qualified Leaders in Running Fitness.
Tuesday sessions focus on speed endurance, hill work and running technique, using the grass track at Blundell's Prep School in summer and lit road routes in winter. Thursday sessions are runs of usually 4, 6 or 8 miles, with scenic and off-road routes in summer and lit road routes in winter, and include an improvers/beginners group for those starting out. The club suggests being confident running for half an hour before joining, though pace is not important. New members can come along to a free trial training session, or contact the Run Leaders first via the contact page; membership forms are available on the site and club kit is ordered through partner Stitch2Print. The club also organises the Uplowman 10k road race, has a Facebook page for news and a Strava club for members. England Athletics affiliated club.
