Club nights are every Wednesday: members arrive from 18:30, announcements at 18:50 and groups head out running at 19:00. There are several paced road groups led by qualified run leaders (LiRF), with paces from around 7:30 min/mile to slower than 10:30 min/mile; the slowest group covers about 4.5 miles (7 km) and the fastest about 7 miles (11 km), lasting around an hour. Interval-based track sessions led by club coaches are also offered on club night, open to all abilities with no minimum pace or distance; the core of a track session lasts about 25 minutes after a warm-up. Members take part in road, trail, cross country, athletics and relay events and a Club Championship of local races. The first session is free for newcomers; after that guests pay £6 per session, and membership costs £39 per year plus £2 per session, with an option to pre-pay session fees for £50 per year. Adults join as 1st claim (including England Athletics registration, allowing competition for the club) or 2nd claim members. New attendees should register online before their first session and bring a phone; a Meet and Greet team helps with sign-up on the night. A welfare fund is available for those who cannot afford the fees. Contact: [email protected]. England Athletics affiliated club.
