About

Stevenage and North Herts AC is a volunteer-run athletics club formed in 1965, based at Ridlins Athletics Stadium in Stevenage. It offers coaching across running, jumping and throwing for athletes from age 9-10 upwards, including adults, and has a dedicated disability squad. Members compete in track and field leagues as well as cross-country and road running, and the club describes itself as first and foremost a competitive club.

Training runs 52 weeks a year, with sessions listed on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 18:30 to 20:00; the club states it trains four times a week, though the fourth day is not given on the site. Athletes are grouped by discipline and are expected to compete at a level appropriate to their development, in four track and field leagues plus a cross-country and a road running league. Waiting lists apply to some groups: they are closed for school years 5 and 6 and for the sprints group, with trials in groups that have space held in September; prospective members for other groups are asked to use the website contact form. Club vests can be bought directly from the club; competition kit is an orange and black vest or crop top with black shorts or leggings. Membership, programme and prospective-member pages, plus a new member induction booklet, are available on the site. No membership fees are stated in the text. England Athletics affiliated club.
