Run club in Newport Pagnell
Redway Runners is a community running club based in Milton Keynes, founded in 2011 and now with over 3,000 paid members. It welcomes runners of all abilities and runs a full weekly schedule of social, paced, step-up and interval sessions. Many runs use a "loop-back" system so that mixed-pace groups stay together.
The weekly schedule includes social runs (roughly 5-6 miles, around 8-11 minute miles), Step Up runs for newer runners (about 3 miles at 10:30 minute miles or slower), a gentle Step Up run (2-2.5 miles at 14:00 minute miles or slower), intervals, Tempo Tuesday, Wednesday track night, early morning Brickhills and a Friday morning 10 mile club run. The club also runs free beginner courses, a Build your Speed course and Move on Up to... courses, plus events such as MK24 and a 5 and 10 mile Memorial run. Membership costs ยฃ7 to 31 March each year, includes discounts at local running shops and the option to affiliate to England Athletics; members do not need to book, they just turn up. Head torches and bright clothing are required for runs in the dark. Contact is via the committee page on the website, and a weekly email newsletter is available. England Athletics affiliated club.
