Quakers Running Club โ a run club in Darlington. England Athletics affiliated club. Activities: cross country, hill fell, road running, track field, trail running. RunAndTalk club (mental-health friendly).
Main club nights are Tuesday and Thursday at 18:30 from Abbey Road Sports Field, with a structured main session plus several steady run groups; sessions are graded (A/B/C reps) and there are 10-minute and 12-minute steady groups led by named coaches, with training taking place on the field and on local roads and parks. A fortnightly track session runs on Mondays at 19:00 at Eastbourne Sports Complex, DL1 1LD, and occasional extras such as a trail running day in the Lake District are listed on the training schedule. A beginners group runs each spring: a 10-week course of coached Tuesday and Thursday sessions at 18:30 costing ยฃ10, capped at 12 places, first come first served, booked through the online store, finishing with South Park parkrun; the ยฃ10 is deducted from membership if participants join. Newcomers can try the club free for up to four weeks without joining by completing the online form; membership and lapsed-membership renewal are also handled through online forms and the store.
