Run club in Toronto
Northern Endurance Project is a Toronto-based distance running team and coaching group covering 800m through marathon and cross country. It runs a High Performance squad for competitive and elite athletes alongside a Development Team open to all abilities, plus a virtual junior programme. Group sessions meet twice a week, with a faster-paced workout midweek and a tempo or long run at the weekend, built around upcoming races.
Coaching is offered in person and virtually across three streams: a High Performance group with entry standards (men sub 2:05 for 800m, 4:20-4:25 1500m, 17:15 5k, 1:18 half, 2:45 marathon; women sub 2:25, 5:15, 19:30, 1:30, 3:10), a Development Team open to all levels from couch-to-5k to experienced marathoners, and a virtual Junior Development programme for U14 to U20. Training plans are individually written and updated weekly rather than using generic plans, with emphasis on periodization, running mechanics, economy, speed development and injury/burnout prevention. The group trains year-round across three seasons: outdoor track, road/distance/cross country, and indoor track. A free consultation call can be requested through the enquiry form; further contact details are on the club website. Membership or coaching fees are not stated. Athletics Canada affiliated club (via AthleticsReg; Cross Country, Long Distance, Middle Distance, Road Running).
