Run club in Letchworth Garden City
North Herts Road Runners is a running club based in Letchworth, Hertfordshire, founded in 1986. Members range from social joggers to athletes who have represented Great Britain, and the club competes in road running and cross country leagues as well as hosting its own races. Training is organised into three coached groups covering different abilities.
Training sessions usually take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays in Letchworth; no start times are given on the site. The club has three training groups with schedules produced by the club president, and coached sessions are run by club coaches. A Couch to 5km course is offered for new runners, and the site states new runners can join for a trial before joining. The club competes in local road running and cross country leagues, including the Midweek League, SORE League and Herts County Championships, and organises its own events: the Standalone 10k, Greenway Challenge Half Marathon, Letchworth 5k, Santa Canta 5km and the free First Saturday in the Month 5km.
