Massey Ferguson Runners Club is a running club based in Coventry, known for its red and white quarter vests. It welcomes runners of all abilities, from people starting out to experienced runners wanting to compete for the club in regional competitions. Sessions are led by qualified England Athletics run coaches (CiRF) and run leaders (LiRF), and members race everything from local 5km events to marathons.
Weekly training includes Racefit core strength and conditioning on Monday (year round, indoors in winter, often followed by a light mixed-ability run), grouped runs by ability on Wednesday, mixed-ability interval sessions on Wednesday and Thursday, and track sessions on Tuesday at Lyng Hall track during spring and summer. Wednesday grouped runs are split into five pace bands: 12–14 min/mile (37–44 min 5k), 11–12 min/mile (34–37 min 5k), 10–11 min/mile (31–34 min 5k), 8.5–10 min/mile (26–31 min 5k) and 7.5–8.5 min/mile (23–26 min 5k). Track sessions are open to all abilities, though a foundation level of fitness is recommended. Several unofficial member-organised runs take place at various times and locations, and coaches have compiled solo training plans. The club hosts its own events, including the Massey 10km at Draycote Water and the new year Pace Race. No membership cost or contact details are stated on the site. England Athletics affiliated club.
