About

Lomond Hill Runners (the "Lomies") is a small hill running club based around the Lomond Hills of Fife. The club centres on a Tuesday night run and on hill racing, with members competing in Scottish hill race series and championship events. It also organises several local races and social events such as a club pub run, curry nights and a training weekend away.

Regular club activity is a Tuesday evening run, with the current schedule posted on the club website and Facebook page; there has also been discussion of adding local Thursday evening runs from Falkland and a Perthshire base with a more intense option, though this was not confirmed. The club takes part in hill races and championship events (for example Screel, Ben Chonzie, Birnam Hill), organises and marshals its own races (Bishop Hill Race, Birnam Hill Race, Deuchary Hill Canter, Falkland Yomp), enters teams for relay events such as the Devil's Burdens, and runs social events including a long "Pub Run" of around 20 miles, curry nights and a club training weekend away (Arran, 2 to 5 May). Membership sign-up is done online through Entry Central; members receive a £10 subsidy toward the club curry night. The website lists a Contacts page, and Devil's Burdens team entries go to Adrian Davis at wildoutdoorscotland@gmail.com. No membership fee amount is stated. scottishathletics affiliated club.
