Leighton Buzzard Athletic Club — a run club in LEIGHTON BUZZARD. England Athletics affiliated club. Activities: cross country, road running, track field, trail running.
Two core senior training nights: Wednesday social runs from Leighton Linslade Leisure Centre and Thursday speed/interval sessions at Astral Park, meeting at 19:00. Thursday sessions last around 45 minutes, are mainly interval work covering up to about 5km, and the group regroups after each rep so runners can work at their own effort. Senior membership is for ages 18+; you can attend a training session to try the club before joining. Membership runs yearly from 1 April to 31 March, with an Early Bird discount for joining or renewing before 1 May and reduced fees for joining between 1 October and the end of February; the fee normally includes England Athletics athlete registration (£20). Benefits include free entry to Chiltern League, county, Southern and National cross-country races, East Anglian Track and Field League meetings and various relays.
