Run club in Hereford
Hereford & County AC is an athletics club founded in 1962, based at the track at Hereford Leisure Centre. It covers track and field events alongside middle and long distance running, plus cross country, fell and road racing. Training takes place on the track on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, with coaches for middle distance among other event groups, and members can compete for the club in league fixtures.
Adult and senior training is on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, 18:30 to 19:30 (a little later in summer), with separate coached groups including middle distance; Andy Tyler and Adam Dyson coach middle distance on Tuesdays, and Alice Dyson, Luke Williams and Ricardo Martins on Thursdays. The first two sessions are free; after that track fees are £3 for members. Booking is essential and is for members only, handled through the Spond app. Members can compete in leagues including the Midlands Track and Field League and the Upper Youth Development League, and there is a cross country, fell and road race coordinator (Max Reid). Senior club captains are Maisie Wood and Ruben Mabberley. Contact herefordathletics@gmail.com to join or arrange a session. Committee meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month.
