Run club in Fleet
Hart Road Runners is a road, trail, cross country and ultra running club based in the Fleet area of Hampshire, established for over 40 years and run by its members. Sessions are led by England Athletics registered and qualified coaches and are open to runners of all abilities, from beginners to more experienced racers. A typical week includes track work, a speed or hills session, a social run of 6 to 9 miles in paced groups, and a relaxed coach-led Saturday morning run.
Weekly sessions cover Monday track training at Aldershot Military Stadium (small fee to cover venue hire and floodlights), Tuesday speed and endurance sessions starting from The Key Centre, Hart Leisure Centre or another designated location, Thursday social runs of roughly 6 to 9 miles with a variety of paced groups (winter road routes such as Evetham/Ancells 6 miles and Church Crookham 8.8 miles from Hart Leisure Centre, a monthly coach-led fartlek from The Key Centre, and off-road summer routes from varying locations, sometimes finishing at a pub), and Saturday morning runs of 5km upwards at Hartland Country Park. Hi-viz is requested for winter runs. Members take part in 5k, 10k, half and full marathons, trail and ultra events, cross country leagues, training camps and social events. To join, check the club calendar for session details, turn up and introduce yourself to one of the coaches; there is also a membership page and an enquiry form on the website, plus Facebook and Instagram pages.
