Gade Valley Harriers is a community road running club based in Boxmoor, Hemel Hempstead, founded in March 1991 and affiliated to England Athletics. It welcomes runners of all abilities, from complete beginners to those chasing personal bests, and describes itself as friendly and inclusive. A typical week includes coached group training on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, with racing, cross country and social events through the year.
Structured training sessions are held every Tuesday and Thursday evening, tailored to a range of levels and goals, and are led by qualified coaches including an England Athletics Endurance coach and supporting coaches. The club has over 150 members aged from their 20s to 70s, with roughly a 50/50 split of women to men, and is affiliated to England Athletics. It runs a 10-week Learn to Run course each May for complete beginners or those returning to running, working towards completing a 5km parkrun, and hosts Marathon Training Runs each February and March in support of spring marathons, with some profits donated to a chosen local charity. Members take part in a club league of 10 races a year, the Chiltern Cross Country League and the Midweek 10K Road Race League, and some members meet for longer runs on Saturdays. The club also organises the Bovingdon 10km and social events, including an annual fancy dress pub run in July. Joining is by completing the membership form on the website; the site also has FAQs and a contact page. Membership costs are not stated on the page. England Athletics affiliated club.
