JAWS (Joggers and Wheelers Society) is a social exercise club in Farnham Common, founded in 1983, combining keeping fit with socialising. Members are mostly retired and live in the village, and some have been active with the group for 40 years. A typical Sunday involves an hour of exercise at 09:00 followed by breakfast at a member's house.
The group meets every Sunday at 09:00 for about an hour of exercise, after which members return to a member's house for a casual breakfast. Alongside jogging, the club's activities include golf, cycling, a monthly walk with lunch outside the Farnham Common area, and regular social events. No membership cost or pace-group information is given. To join or ask for details, contact Richard Flower on 07767 828884 or by the email address given on the site. England Athletics affiliated club.
