Activities include Wednesday club runs, fell training, speed training, a Friday social run, daytime runs and weekend runs, covering fell running, road running from 5km to marathon, cross country and trail, orienteering, mountain marathons and ultras, and adventure racing. In autumn and winter Wednesday sessions start from Penrith Rugby Club with runs around the streets of Penrith, using the club's changing and shower facilities and the club bar afterwards; in spring and summer the Wednesday run usually goes into the surrounding countryside, Pennines or Lakeland fells. Ready2Run Eden, set up by club volunteer coaches, meets each Monday at Penrith Rugby Club for absolute beginners and those returning to running after a break, in a non-competitive setting. The club runs championships for parkrun and local road, cross country and fell races, and organises the Haweswater Half Marathon (March), Blencathra Fell Race (June) and Acorn Bank 10k (September). Guests, including visitors on holiday or working locally, can try a run by contacting the club. Club vests and T-shirts are bought from Pete Bland Sports, online or in store, with a subsidy for new members towards a first vest or T-shirt. England Athletics affiliated club.
