Run club in Diss
Diss & District Athletics Club is a road running group for people in Diss and the surrounding area, formed in 1952 and run by volunteer coaches and committee members. It is open to runners of all abilities, from those preparing for a first race to people chasing PBs or running for enjoyment. Typical sessions are a Tuesday evening road running session and a Thursday evening social run, both starting at The Mere in Diss.
Tuesday road running sessions run 19:00-20:00 and Thursday social runs 20:00-21:00, both meeting at The Mere by the statue. Sessions are led by members qualified in Leadership in Running Fitness, and one coach is a certified guide runner. The first couple of trial sessions are free; the club is affiliated to England Athletics and also organises social runs and awaydays. To join, attend on a Tuesday night or get in touch by email at dissathleticsclub@gmail.com or via the club's Facebook page. Junior sessions are not currently offered.
