Wymondham AC

Wymondham Athletic Club (WAC) is primarily a road running club whose members race across the UK, and also take part in off-road and trail runs, local cross country leagues, parkruns and some track events. It welcomes runners of all abilities, with the only requirement being the ability to run 5k without stopping. Monday club nights are split into pace-based groups coordinated and supervised by qualified coaches.

Monday club nights: members gather inside the hall at Kett's Park from 18:30, notices from the Chair at 18:40, training sessions start at 19:00 and last about an hour, with advanced, intermediate, progression, improvers and development groups. Pace guidance: Development +9:30/mile (4-5 miles), Improver 8:45-10:00/mile (5-6 miles), Progression 7:30-8:45/mile (5-6 miles), Intermediate 7:00-7:30/mile (6+ miles), Advanced sub 7:00/mile (6-8 miles). Separate track sessions run on a grass track at Gaymers, Attleborough in summer and at the floodlit UEA Sportspark track in Norwich in winter, starting at 18:30 and lasting about an hour; everybody is welcome. The club also enters the East Anglia Cross Country League from October to March, free for members, with races usually starting around 14:30 on Wednesday afternoons. Membership runs 1 April to 31 March alongside England Athletics affiliation and includes insurance during organised club training, discounted entry to England Athletics affiliated events and England Athletics discounts.
