Run club in Victoriaville
Club Citius is a non-profit running club based in Victoriaville, Quebec, set up to promote running and its development in the region. It is run by a volunteer board of directors, and coaches lead the sessions. Group training on Tuesday evenings is aimed at adults of all levels: the group starts each effort together on the track and then each runner continues at their own pace.
Sessions are coached and open to adults of all levels, with everyone starting each effort together and then running at their own pace. A typical session runs through a warm-up, running drills, intervals and a cool-down, with an optional continued cool-down on the track or outdoors. Participants should bring running shoes, water and weather-appropriate clothing, as sessions go ahead in all weather. The track at the Cégep is used from 15 April to 15 November; in winter the location is announced in the club's private Facebook group. The club offers a trial session - prospective members are asked to write to the club before their first session to be told when and where to come - and there is an online registration option; contact details are on the club website. The club also publishes a pace calculator for estimating 3 km, 5 km and 10 km paces. Athletics Canada affiliated club (via AthleticsReg; Cross Country, Long Distance, Middle distance, Road Running).
