Run club in Stoke-On-Trent
Biddulph Running Club is a social running club founded in 1982 and affiliated to England Athletics. Members range from beginners and parkrunners to marathon and ultramarathon runners. Club runs last around 45 minutes to an hour, on the streets of Biddulph in winter and on hill trails and country parks in summer.
Club nights are Tuesday and Thursday, meeting at 18:30 for an 18:45 start at Biddulph Leisure Centre, with additional informal meet-ups on mornings and at weekends. A long route of about 5-6 miles and a shorter route of about 3-4 miles are offered, with designated muster points where runners regroup and a sweeper who doubles back so no one runs alone; on cold or poor-weather evenings faster runners may run as a separate group after the first muster point. Routes are published on the club's schedule page. A New to Running course runs annually, taking participants from couch to 5km over six weeks. There is also a club championship based on selected races. Enquiries by email to biddulphrc.info@gmail.com. No membership or cost details are given on the site. England Athletics affiliated club.
