Training is based at two venues: road runners meet at the Barnsley Metrodome (homepage lists 19:00 Tuesday and Thursday; the about page states 18:45) for club runs catering for all abilities plus structured sessions set by a UKA Level 4 endurance coach, while track and field athletes meet at the Dorothy Hyman Stadium in Cudworth from 18:00, with groups for sprinting, middle distance, jumps and throws taken by qualified coaches. Individual coaches also arrange sessions on other evenings, and many runners meet on Saturday or Sunday mornings for longer group runs, particularly when marathon training. The club competes on road, cross country, track and field, including the South Yorkshire Cross Country League and South Yorkshire Road Race League, and organises the Barnsley 10k, Ward Green 6, Spencer's Dash Series and Dorothy Hyman Winter Track Series. No membership cost is stated; new runners are invited to attend training nights, and there is a contact form on the site plus Facebook and Instagram pages. England Athletics affiliated club.
