Barking Road Runners is a running club based in Barking, east London, formed in 1984 with around 120 members aged 18 to 78. It caters for all paces and abilities, including people starting out, returning to running or training for races. On Saturdays members run or volunteer at local parkruns (free, 5k, register at parkrun.org.uk and bring a barcode). Sunday runs at Hainault Forest Country Park meet at 09:30 in the car park outside the Global Cafรฉ; the run is free but parking is charged via the Ringo app. A first track session is free, then ยฃ4 per session, ยฃ3 for club members, or ยฃ1 for under-18s accompanied by a parent or guardian. Adult membership is ยฃ15 a year (pro rata), plus ยฃ23 (2026/27) for England Athletics registration, which gives ยฃ2 off races entered under EA rules.
