Run club in Ware
Ware Joggers is a running club in Ware, Hertfordshire, founded in 1987 and based at Wodson Park. It caters for all abilities, from complete beginners to competitive runners, with members ranging from 17 to over 90 years old. Sessions are led by qualified coaches and run leaders, organised into multiple pace groups, and the club also enters cross-country leagues, road race series and championship events.
The club runs four sessions a week: Tuesday morning track at Wodson Park, Tuesday evening group runs from Wodson Park, Thursday evening coached sessions (normally from Wodson Park) and Sunday morning longer runs at various locations; specific times are listed in the club's training diary. Beginners' courses run throughout the year. Full membership is £30 per year (1 April to 31 March), with affiliate membership at £5, an optional England Athletics individual add-on at £23, and an optional discounted Wodson Park corporate membership (£47 standard, £39 concessionary for 2026/27). Some sessions carry a fee: Tuesday morning track £2 for members (£4 non-members), Tuesday/Thursday evening track £5.80 for members or £3 for Wodson corporate members, and Abbsfit strength and conditioning £5; a £1 Wodson visitor fee applies without corporate membership. Membership includes free entry to the cross-country and Midweek League championships, and the club is affiliated to England Athletics and the Hertfordshire Athletics Association. Newcomers can attend a free trial session at Wodson Park; joining is done via the Membermojo form with payment by bank transfer, cash or cheque, after approval by the membership secretary.
