It is a family-oriented group that meets once a week during the winter season for handicap-timed races of 1km to 10km, held mainly in the Ironbark Forest near Stawell and also at Halls Gap and Horsham. Members span all ages and running abilities, from sub-juniors to veterans.

The season runs from late March to mid-August (2026 syllabus dated 20 March to 16 August), with around 20 races over distances from 1km to 10km. Races are run on a handicap system and members meet at the clubrooms from 9:00 for a 9:30 start. Most events are in and around Stawell in the Ironbark Forest, with some at Halls Gap and Horsham. Membership categories are senior (16 and over), junior (8 and over) and sub-junior (4 and over), plus a family option; yearly fees for 2026 were listed as to be confirmed, fun runners pay $5, and all fees include $10 Athletics Victoria membership.
