Run club in Bristol
Sole Sisters is a women-only running club based in North Bristol, described as Bristol's first all-women England Athletics affiliated running group. It caters for all abilities, from complete beginners to marathon and ultra-marathon runners. The main club night is Monday, with coach-led training and a choice of running distances and speeds on routes starting from a variety of North Bristol venues.
Most Monday nights there are 3, 4, 5 and 6 mile running groups (plus a separate walking group), meeting at 18:00 with the aim of setting off around 18:15; the meeting venue varies week to week and is listed on the club diary. A 6-week beginners course from 0 to 5km runs twice a year (typically January and September), costs £40, is coach-led and finishes with a graduation run at a local parkrun; the autumn course was confirmed to start Monday 21 September at 18:00 from the Jubilee Centre, Savages Wood Road. Membership is open to women aged 18 and over; the first session is free, a second guest session costs £2, and membership is expected from the third visit (guest runners are not allowed on the beginners course). Full annual membership is £40 (membership year 1 April to 31 March), reduced to £20 if joining between October and March, with optional England Athletics affiliation for an extra £10 as the club pays half. There are no weekly subscription fees; payment is by bank transfer to Sole Sisters Running Club, sort code 30-84-75, account 39159960. A membership application form can be downloaded and brought along on your first session. Contact by email at the address on the site, the online enquiry form, or via Facebook or Instagram/Twitter.
