Sevenoaks AC

Sevenoaks AC is a local athletics and running club for runners of all ages and abilities, with members running into their 70s and 80s and a women's group within the club. It caters both for social runners and for those who want to compete in road running, cross country and track and field. Typical weekday runs are a paced group road or park run on Tuesday evenings and an interval session on the track on Thursday evenings, with trail, hill and long runs at weekends.

Tuesday is the main club night, meeting at the Sennocke Centre at Sevenoaks School for a 5 mile (8k) or 7 mile (11k) run, on the streets of Sevenoaks in winter and in Knole Park in summer; there are three paced groups each with a run leader — faster (4:30 min/km or quicker) and medium (4:30–6:00 min/km) starting at 19:00, and a slower group or groups (6:00 min/km or slower) starting at 18:15. Thursday is interval speedwork at Sevenoaks School Track at 18:30, with a head torch needed in darker months. The club hires the track on Sunday mornings, with senior sessions between 09:00 and 10:00, and additional weekend sessions such as trail runs, hill sessions and long runs are arranged around cross country matches and road races, listed on the club calendar. Newcomers can take a three free sessions offer with no obligation; most start with the Tuesday evening session. Membership is an annual subscription that covers all club sessions, and a membership form can be downloaded from the site in PDF or Word format. Competitive options include road racing, Kent Fitness League and Kent League cross country, and SCVAC track and field, plus club Grand Prix competitions using WMA age-graded tables and a monthly club handicap.
