Run club in Sevenoaks
Eynsford Running Club is an England Athletics affiliated club based in the village of Eynsford in Kent, running in the Darent Valley area between Shoreham and South Darenth. It caters for runners from those who can manage a 5km run/walk up to marathon distance and beyond. Runs start as a group at a gentle pace with regular regroups, are led by qualified run leaders and club coaches, and are usually followed by a drink in the pub.
The main session is Wednesday evening at 19:30 with route options of 5km, 7km and 10km; run leaders split the group so a 5km cut-off is available and the rest continue to 7km or 10km. Winter Wednesday runs are mostly on road and summer runs are off road. Sunday runs at 10:00 range from 5km to 10 miles depending on demand and run leader availability. Newcomers are asked to arrive at 19:25 on a Wednesday and can run with the club free for a couple of weeks before deciding to join. Annual membership for 2025-2026 is £37 first claim (of which £20 goes to England Athletics), and £17 for second claim and social membership; this includes race entry discounts, insurance during club organised runs, funding for run leader qualifications, retail discounts and social events.
