Rolls Royce Harriers — a run club in DERBY. England Athletics affiliated club. Activities: cross country, hill fell, road running, track field.
The club organises its own Piggs 10k road race, two cross-country races (the Handicap Race and the Broome Cup) and a summer track series at Moorways track, with track races starting at 17:00 on set dates (1500m, 3000m, 5000m and a short-distance evening). It also competes in the Derby Runner and North Midlands cross-country leagues and enters regional and national events. An annual Club Championship awards points for cross-country league races, the Broome Cup and Handicap races, 10k, 10 mile, half and full marathon road races, track events, fell and ultra races, with extra points for veterans (men over 40, ladies over 35), club records and marshalling. Membership is £30 per year from 2025, including England Athletics affiliation and entry to the club's four organised events; second claim members and non-competitors pay £6. To join, download and complete the joining form from the website and send it with the fee to billsouthgate337@btinternet.com by cash, cheque or bank transfer.
