Run club in Red Deer
Red Deer Titans Track and Field Club is an athletics club in Red Deer, Alberta, covering track events (sprints, hurdles, racewalk, distance), field events and combined events. It welcomes ages 7 and up and all abilities, with separate U14 and 14+ training groups, and competes at local, provincial and national level. Typical sessions are coached track practices at Woody's Athletic Park in the outdoor season and at the Collicutt Centre in the indoor season.
Training is organised in two groups, U14 and 14+, with the 14+ group following the NCCP/Athletics Canada training framework and open to trying all event areas (sprints, hurdles, racewalk, distance, jumps, throws and combined events). Outdoor sessions run Tuesday and Thursday at the Lindsay Thurber (Woody's) track, with indoor sessions at the Collicutt Centre track; extra Friday (and Saturday outdoors) technical practices depend on coach and track availability, and Sunday includes strength work followed by a sprint workout. Session times vary with the season, weather and facility availability, and specifics are posted in the club WhatsApp group and monthly schedules. Club fees do not cover competitions: athletes or guardians register and pay for meets themselves via TrackieReg on trackie.com, meet information is listed on the Athletics Alberta website, and club singlets cost $50 per season. Coaches are NCCP certified and the club follows Canadian safe sport policies; contact details are on the club website. Athletics Canada affiliated club (via AthleticsReg; Cross Country, Distance, Middle Distance).
