Run club in Broadstone
Poole Runners is a running club in Poole, Dorset, open to members of all abilities, ages and levels of experience, from racers to casual and social runners. It offers coached sessions, beginner courses, track and speed work, endurance runs and cross country, with qualified England Athletics leaders and coaches. Typical sessions include a Monday evening social run in Poole Park and Wednesday club nights split into different pace groups.
Sessions are for members, but visitors may try two sessions before signing up by emailing membership@poolerunners.co.uk or messaging the club's Facebook page. Adult membership (1 April to 31 March) costs £41 for full membership including England Athletics affiliation, £4 per month for the '100 Club' option, £18 for social/associate or second claim membership and £9 for further education students/under 25s living more than 35 miles from Poole during term time; families of three or more at the same address get 15% off club membership. Joining is by online registration or a downloadable form, with payment by BACS or online (plus £1 processing fee). Beginners can start with the 10-week Couch to 5K course (£25, next course starting Spring 2026, meeting at The Kitchen in Poole Park, contact c25k@poolerunners.co.uk), then move to the Monday Park to Poole Runners social run (5 miles at about 9:30-10:00 min/mile) and on to Wednesday club sessions, where pace groups start from 4 miles at 9:30 min/mile. Club kit, a championship and cross country are also available, and the club organises the Broadstone Quarter Marathon, which members are asked to help marshal. England Athletics affiliated club.
