Pewsey Vale RC — a run club in PEWSEY. England Athletics affiliated club. Activities: cross country, hill fell, road running, track field, trail running.
The Tuesday club night at 19:00 usually forms two groups: an intermediate group covering 5-10 km (3-6 miles) in about 60 minutes, and a more experienced group covering 10-15 km (6-9 miles) in 60-90 minutes; all runs last around an hour. Once a month on a Thursday the club holds a 5 km handicap time trial open to everyone, with slower runners starting first; in winter it starts at the Vale Community Campus and in summer at the Golden Swan at Wilcot, where some stay for food and drinks afterwards (the site gives the date as the second Thursday on one page and the first Thursday on another). Runners up to 5 km are directed to a separate Pewsey-based club, The Pewsey Plodders, with whom members are shared. Prospective members can come along to any club night to try it out, and there is a sign-up page on the website.
