About

NorWesters Track and Field Club is a community athletics club founded in 1960, serving North and West Vancouver with training in both municipalities. It offers programmes for ages 8 to 13, 14 to 35 and 35 plus, covering track, field and cross-country, and competes in BC Athletics sanctioned meets from junior development through to Masters level. The club also hosts its own meets and relies on member volunteers to run them.

The club runs programmes split by age: 8 to 13, 14 to 35, and 35 plus (Masters), with training held in both North and West Vancouver. Registration is open for the 2026 Fall season and is arranged through the club; contact details are on the club website. Club membership includes entry by the club into up to six events per meet for athletes aged 9 to 15 and four per meet for older athletes, while Masters athletes enter and pay for their own meet entries; registration emails with deadlines are sent to members before each meet. Members compete in a regional and national calendar of track, field and cross-country meets across British Columbia and Canada, and the club also hosts its own meets, including the Frank Reynolds Memorial Cross-Country Meet at Cates Park and the Trevor Craven Memorial Meet. The club recruits coaches with track and field competition experience, with pay based on coaching level and experience. Athletics Canada affiliated club (via AthleticsReg).
