Northumberland Fell Runners

Northumberland Fell Runners is a club dedicated to fell running, formed in 1997 and affiliated for fell running only. It has close to 100 members based across the North East and beyond, ranging from those competing at national championships to those running socially. Members meet at races rather than at a regular training night, so there is no weekly club session.

The club has no regular training night; members gather at local Northumberland races and at classic races such as those in the Lake District, and many also run for other clubs on the road and at cross country. Members compete at mountain marathons and undertake challenges such as the Bob Graham Round. The club runs an annual championship of selected races, with awards for age and male/female categories presented at the annual dinner. Membership costs £10 a year, with a £5 discount for those in full-time education, and an application form can be downloaded from the website. Between races members keep in touch via the website, an email group and occasional social gatherings; there is a contact page and a webmaster email address on the site. England Athletics affiliated club.
