Run club in Manchester
Manchester Triathlon Club is a volunteer-run multisport club in Manchester that has been going for more than 35 years and includes coached running alongside swimming and cycling. Its running provision is track-based interval training with coaches who also cover technique and run drills. Sessions are open to members of all abilities, from beginners to experienced athletes, with the coach setting the workout on the day.
The club offers 19 coached sessions per week across swim, bike and run with British Triathlon Federation qualified coaches; the running element listed on the site is two track sessions on Wednesday (07:00–08:00 and 19:00–20:00), currently at Crossford Bridge track while the Longford track is resurfaced. Track work is interval based and set by the coach, with run drills for technique and form; morning attendees should arrive warmed up, and for the evening session coaching starts at 19:15 after a minimum 10-minute warm-up. New attendees meet the coach first — at the white steps on the start line in the morning, and by the club house in the evening — to be added to the register. Membership options are Gold (fixed annual fee covering all sessions, also available by direct debit), Bronze (£65 per year plus £6.50 per session) and a student membership at £215 for September–August; Gold and Bronze last 12 months from purchase. Youth members aged 15-17 may attend senior sessions if accompanied by an adult member. Joining is via the online membership page, and session booking is through TeamUp. For help choosing a first session, email [email protected]; the head coach can be reached at [email protected]. Sessions do not run on bank holidays. England Athletics affiliated club.
