Run club in Wagga Wagga
Kooringal-Wagga Athletics Club is a community track and field club based at the Bill Jacob Athletics Centre in Jubilee Park, Wagga Wagga, established in 1978. It is primarily a Little Athletics centre for children from three-year-old Tiny Tots up to Under 20s, but it also registers Amateur (Seniors 18+) athletes and says it welcomes athletes of all ages. Weekly club meets involve track running events alongside jumps and throws on a 400m all-weather synthetic track.
The season runs every Friday from late September through to March, during school terms, with club meets starting at 5:00pm sharp at the Bill Jacob Athletics Centre. Registration is handled online through the club's website, which lists separate categories for Tiny Tots to Under 20s and for Amateur (Seniors 18+) athletes; the published fees shown are for the junior categories (early bird Tiny Tots $140 and ages 6-U20 $160, rising from 1 October to $155 and $175, with Active Kids vouchers accepted). Free "come and try" sessions are offered before the season starts. Enclosed shoes are required in the track area and athletes are asked to bring a drink bottle. Personalised coaching can be arranged, and contact details are on the club website. NSW Athletics affiliated club.
