Run club in Swindon
Highworth Running Club is a small club based in Highworth near Swindon for runners of all abilities. It offers social runs in groups divided by speed and distance, meeting on several days each week. Members range from those racing distances from 5K to marathon to people who prefer a gentle jog and a chat.
Social runs are split into groups by speed and distance, with sessions and routes said to suit all ages and abilities, from 5K up to marathon racing as well as gentle jogging. Prospective members can turn up on any Saturday, Monday or Wednesday for a run before joining. Membership runs April to March: £33 for a full year for new and existing adults (£23 for juniors in Year 11 or below), including a £23 England Athletics affiliation levy that gives reduced race entry fees and discounts on running gear; those joining after 31 December get membership valid to 31 March of the following year (up to 15 months). To join, download and complete the application form and email it to Vinny at lavinia.colley@btinternet.com, paying online to the club's Lloyds Bank account (sort code 30-13-35, account 01446518, using your name as reference), or pay by cheque to "Highworth Running Club" or cash on a Wednesday evening to Vinny Colley or any committee member.
