Run club in Feilding
Feilding Moa Harrier & Athletic Club is a Manawatu club, founded in 1939, that encourages running and recreational walking for people of all ages. Club days are held most weeks at a different venue, with cross country on farm courses and at Timona Park in the first half of the season and road races and interclub relays in the second half. Coached midweek training sessions are held in Palmerston North and are free to members.
The season runs 1 April to 31 March and is split into cross country (April-July, using farm courses such as the Woodruffe farm, Timona Park and other Manawatu venues) and road racing and relays (July-October, including interclub relays such as the Halcombe Relay and the Marton-Wanganui Relay, plus Manawatu-Wanganui Centre cross country and road championships). Coached training sessions are led by accredited athletics coach Rob Dabb and community coach Bill Twiss on Tuesday and Thursday evenings in Palmerston North and are free to all members. Registration is completed online through the Game Day portal and opens 1 April; annual subs are NZ$110 for senior competitive members aged 20 and over (fully registered Athletics NZ members), NZ$88 for senior social members aged 20 and over (not eligible for NZ Championship events), NZ$88 for under-20s and NZ$33 to transfer in from another club. Membership includes Athletics NZ registration, and members need to be registered before the first Handicap race to be eligible for points and trophies.
