Durham University Athletics & Cross Country Club โ a run club in Durham. England Athletics affiliated club. Activities: cross country, hill fell, road running, track field.
Running training is split into a Long Sprints Group (100m, 200m, 400m, 400m hurdles, 800m) and an XC/Distance Group (800m to 10,000m, cross country and road races), both training at the Sport and Wellbeing Park. Separate field event groups for throws, jumps and pole vault train at the Sport and Wellbeing Park or Gateshead International Stadium. Athletes train year-round, focusing on fitness and conditioning in autumn and winter, and compete in BUCS and non-BUCS fixtures including the BUCS Cross Country Championships in February; some members also compete for local club Durham City Harriers in the North of England League. Club Captain: Maddie George. Coaches: Max Coleby, Julie Coleby, Cian O'Ryan, Pete Grimoldby, Mark Ellis. The club can be contacted via its Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages, and running routes are shared on Strava. No membership cost is stated on the page. England Athletics affiliated club.
