Dragons Running Club (Leeds) is a local running club based in Yeadon, North Leeds, for runners of all ages and abilities aged 16 and over. Members range from people who run socially to those racing distances from 5k to 50k, and the club also runs a social calendar alongside training. Typical sessions are group runs of 3 to 10 miles on and off road, led by qualified Run Leaders and Coaches, with multiple pace groups and a loop-back policy so the group stays together.
Three led club runs a week, all starting from Yeadon Cricket Club, with members asked to arrive 10 minutes before the advertised start for a briefing. Each session offers several groups by distance and pace: summer Monday groups cover 3–6 miles at 10–12:30 min/mile; summer Thursday groups cover 3–6 miles plus a structured training run; summer Saturday groups range from a 3–4 mile run/walk and a fast walk/slow jog option up to 8–10 miles off road at 9–14 min/mile. The winter schedule is similar and includes hills, intervals and speed sessions on Monday and Thursday, and Saturday groups from 3–4 miles at 12–14 min/mile for those returning to running up to 8–10 miles off road. A loop-back system is used on all runs so groups start and finish together. The club is affiliated to England Athletics (No. 2657903) and has around 145 first claim, second claim and social members, with 16 qualified Leaders and Coaches. Membership runs 12 months from April 2026 to March 2027 and costs £45 for first claim members and £25 for second claim and social members, and includes England Athletics affiliation and membership of Yeadon Cricket Club.
